Hospitalization
We provide many types of hospitalization for our patients.
Day surgery hospitalization usually enables the patient to go home the same day. Patient must have recovered before discharge. Overnight hospitalization is also available if a client would prefer their pet to stay with us for the night.
Intensive and critical care is also available in the event of an accident and illness. Pets in intensive care receive frequent attention by the Veterinarians and Nursing Staff. Their fluid levels, well-being and heart rate is constantly monitored, and oxygen therapy is provided to patients in need of it.
Our isolation area provides hospitalization to pets with viral diseases. Pets who are sick and are at risk of transmitting disease to healthy patients are kept completely separate from them. We provide a designated 'Isolation' area for care. Our staff keeps their hygience by sanitizing everything after contact. Isolated patients still receive plenty of love and attention, just in a very carefull matter.
Boarding is also available to dogs, cats, and small animals. The client is welcome to bring anything along with their pets. Patients who need day to day medication during their stay (patients who are diabetic, have thyroid, liver, kidney, etc.) are also welcome to board at our hospital. We also provide a private area to multiple cats from the same household, with toys and entertainment. For boarding, please make an arrangement with our receptionist well in advance. For additional information on Boarding, click here!
For your convenience, pre-surgical patients can be dropped off morning of sugery, between 8 and 9am, or the night before (between 5 and 6pm). Our receptionist will help you make the proper arrangements.
All patients who stay at Ashbridge's Bay Animal Hospital are treated with respect, love, and are given plenty of attention.
